Caltex Crude Pre-flash Column Upgrade

Project Overview

Piping design and stress analysis for crude pre-flash column upgrade at Caltex refinery.

Worked as a Senior Piping Engineer at Jacobs in a team of 18 piping engineers to carry out piping design on green field and brown field projects. Managed design engineering and drafting for the Caltex Crude Pre-flash Column Upgrade project. Designed pumping systems, pipe routing, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Conducted pipe stress analysis, pipe support design, and on-site work. Performed MAOP (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure) and vacuum rating calculations for HDPE pipes, and pressure containment calculations for Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel pipes. Worked on the Nui Phao Bismuth Area Design project concurrently.
