Project Overview
Engineering services for Kogan Creek Power Station, one of Australia's most efficient coal-fired power stations.
Worked at GANDEN Engineers and Project Managers on the Kogan Creek Power Station Coal Pipeline project. Kogan Creek Power Station is a 750MW supercritical coal-fired power station located near Chinchilla in Queensland's Western Downs region. It is one of Australia's most efficient and technically advanced coal-fired power stations, containing the largest single generating unit in Australia. The station uses 2.8 million tonnes of coal per year from the adjacent Kogan Creek Mine, delivered via a 4km conveyor belt. Performed project management, mechanical plant design and layout, engineering calculations, pump and pipe sizing, pipe stress analysis, concept design, CFD analysis, FEA, and vendor liaison.
