Project Overview

Finite Element Analysis and clarifier upgrade for Molendinar Water Treatment Plant, the largest treatment plant on the Gold Coast.

Worked at GANDEN Engineers and Project Managers on the Molendinar Water Treatment Plant projects, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the clarifier and the Clarifier Inlet Pipe upgrade project. Molendinar WTP is the largest water treatment plant on the Gold Coast, operated by Seqwater and servicing the majority of the region's residents. The clarifier inlet pipe upgrade involved replacing the DN900 inlet pipe, installing isolation inlet valves, and major refurbishment of mechanical elements including mixer and rake gearboxes. Performed project management, mechanical plant design and layout, engineering calculations, pump and pipe sizing, pipe stress analysis, concept design, and CFD analysis.
