Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was carried out on client’s request to check stresses and strains generated in a 30m Diameter 10m High Carbon Steel tank
As the stresses and strains for a 3m cut was neglegible, a further study was conducted to evaluate stresses and strains due to 45, 90, 180, 270, 315 degree Cut in the tank.
